Apologies - "AS400" is a DEC AlphaStation 400 4/233 system running OpenVMS.

In the past I considered the IBM AS/400 line for hobbyist purposes but 
didn't pursue.

Thank you for the heads-up. I will take a look. Currently taking mainframe classes from Pluralsight and have more queued up with Udemy, as time allows
outside of work.
