Yes you are right, I made a few wrong assumptions reading the 
manual into the small hours. :-( 

I find the port types a little odd if I'm honest, ps/2 mouse and keyboard but 
no graphics by default.  One of the software packages is called "internet suite", so was being aimed at the GUI market. 1998 was about the time PC's
started taking off, in fact I think my first job that did not have a VT was in 1997.
