   VAX?  Ha!  Alpha?  Did you find any such cards in
SYS$SYSTEM:SYS$CONFIG.DAT ?

   Have you seen any support anywhere in VMS which might let
you configure such a card?

   A Powerline adapter used as an Ethernet emulator should
work about as well as a real Ethernet cable.  No special
hardware or software would be needed for that.

   Often called a wireless bridge.  Again, once configured,
it should be transparent.  Some (cheap, used) router models
can be configured that way, too.
