Haha, so I'm guessing you were not a fan :-)   

I worked with DECForms/COBOL/RDB at one company for three years solid and have to say I quite liked it, could do some really cool stuff that Powerhouse/Quick could not do.   I'm struggling to recall for certain but I think DecForms used CDD.

Yes I think you are correct,  even in 2010 there was still a lot of money to be had squeezing sites who used Cognos.  Not sure their later BI tools (Axiant?) ever took off.
