One aspect that is often overlooked, is the functionality of multi-circuit End-Systems using DECnet+ (Phase-V). If two DECnet+ communicating multi-circuit systems are both connected to seperate LANs (with similar Bandwidth), you will not only get fail-over but also load-sharing between the two LANs.
