The Open Source on OpenVMS Conference Call series continues this Thursday.

Apologies, the audio quality from the August Call was not very good so I
have not posted it. Only myself and John Malmberg were on the call. Much
of it was off topic discussions and then some minor discussion as to his
progress toward having a working GNUlib Helper environment at least for
FILES and DIRECTORIES - really on of the most critical areas when it comes
to attempting to move code and utilize build routines which are implement
for Linux. Our ability to actually handle that aspect will significantly
improve our ability to port code to OpenVMS from Linux Open Source
environments.

Key issues addressed were devRandom and devNull and similar special devices
as well as other file systems difference and exceptions. We are looking to
get the BASH implemented against to new environment.

See you on Thursday!
