[Info-vax] O.T. Hardware question re. circuit board electrical insulation

For use in my DS10 I bought a 68 pin to 80 pin SCSI adapter. You can see the exact item at:

On the side with the Molex power connector, the solder pads are protected by an adhesive foam insulating pad.
On the other side, which faces the drive, there is no such insulation.
Because that side is very close to the drive housing, with just a little flexing it’s possible for the protruding solder pins from the 50 pin ribbon cable to contact the drive housing—not a good thing.
Ordinary electrician’s tape looks like a simple solution, applied to either the drive, or over the protruding pins.
But a foam insulating pad over the pins would probably be better.
I tried to find such a thing on Amazon but only found weather stripping tape.
Hoping someone here can point me to the right material.
