I wish. Last time I looked (OpenVMS 8.4) that only clears the highest level counters, down to the per IO size histogram.
The SET CACHE/RESET does not clear the per file data, not even the per volume data.
Instead of reboot, dismount/remount will of course clear any XFC counters for the volume.
Note - during a quick test before writing this I could not get $SHOW MEM/CACHE=(TOPQIO=50,VOLUME=DATA) to work for my 'data' drive. It just returned emptiness. $SHOW MEM/CACHE=(VOLUME=DATA) did show (moving) counters.
It worked fine asking about the file itself: $SHOW MEM/CACHE=(FILE=DATA:[X].X).
Hmm, odd. Plain Alpha 8.4 on FreeAXP.
