I don't know but I'd wager that it has to be HP V8.4 with the most recent patches (Hobbyists were up to V01200 for the system).

Probably.

Right.  VSI versions expect "VSI" as the producer whereas DEC, Compaq and HP expect "DEC" as the producer.

Does this mean you've gotten some response to your VSI Community License Program application?  It's been exactly a week for me and all I've heard is crickets.
