Life is short.  It appears that there isn't much that I really need on 
8.4 which is not on 7.3-2.  I have enough spare hardware that if the one 
8.4 node fails, I can replace it very quickly.  I thus have DECwindows 
on the two 7.3-2 machines (and boot satellites only from those now).  
It's strange, because I've done several upgrades before.  A fresh 
install would probably fix it, but then I would have to repeat the 
customization.

I would probably do it when I have time if a fresh install on x86 
weren't coming anyway.  I'll also have to upgrade to VSI VMS at some 
point, and that might fix it.

Despite my interest in VMS, it is just one small part of my life.
