Poke the Linux box with ssh or some other mechanism, and trigger an scp 
over there; pull the file to the Linux system?
Linux scp permits easier access to the keepalive, too.But the OpenVMS 
TCP/IP Services ssh_config file does implement a KeepAlive option,
