[Info-vax] HPE OpenVMS/I64 V8.4 and RX2800i6

(Others may know this, but I'm guessing this is not "common" knowledge)

HPE does not officially support OpenVMS/I64 V8.4 on the RX2800i4 and RX2800i6.

Presumably the primary reason is that those models came out after HPE had concluded testing/qualifying of OpenVMS/I64 on new hardware after a certain date.

VSI does officially support OpenVMS/I64 V8.4-2L1 on the RX2800i6.

I just successfully concluded a test on an RX2800i6 (QUAD core)
using HPE OpenVMS/I64 V8.4 w/patching to "current".
P410i RAID set boot, load permanent licenses, 150 passes of UETP.
Successful Optical media boot, USB media boot.

My current understanding is that the hardware w/o driver support in that environment is the newest 10G fibre network interface add-on option.
Fortunately I don't need that for any of *my* installed base.
