Nobody speaks of the x86 port as a panacea. We agree that the x86 port
is just part of the solution.
But the x86 port is the solution that will stop the boat from sinking so
that everything else can be implemented. The immediate problem is to stop
from sinking and if that doesn't happen nothing else matters.
I am sorry that things are not going quickly enough for you. But the total
number of people working for VSI is less than the size of the DEC field office
in Washington DC. VSI is smaller than the office that printed out the VMS
fiches in the eighties. The amount of labour available is limited.
