.NET is the OpenVMS calling standard a couple of decades on, and .NET
is widely available, so that perception hardly surprising.
There've been previous newsgroup discussions around porting .NET core
to OpenVMS.
I remain skeptical that the addition of .NET support will be a
particular draw for folks to choose and use OpenVMS. This too as the
older OpenVMS support for Microsoft COM/DCOM/OLE didn't see a
substantial uptake.
