Much of VMS is written in assembly language which is even worse than
C at letting silly errors through.
However, the latest work in VMS is done using C so that's an
improvement over Macro-32 when it comes to detecting silly errors.
Also, Linux has a number of good security features that VMS could
really benefit from such as mandatory access controls, ASLR and KASLR.
It also has an army of security researchers who go looking for
security issues so that ends up making Linux more secure.
