It must depend on how big the change is.

I don't see K&R -> C89 as being a change that justfies
a name change.

Fortran 77 to 90 could have justified a name change IMHO.

Delphi is Object Pascal. Apple could have chosen a different
name, but they did not. I do not see why Borland should not
call Delphi for Object Pascal given the Apple
decision.
