Or are mis-set elsewhere. Or are subject to conflicting requirements.
Or somebody skipped that step in the doc when installing, and the
product support folks later had to find that error.
There used to be open conflicts around folks wanting and not wanting to
perform AUTOGEN passes. Folks that swore off running AUTOGEN, or that
got hosed by an AUTOGEN pass. Those arguments are less common now
judging largely by what gets posted around here in the comp.os.vms
newsgroup, but that might only mean that folks are running AUTOGEN less
often. Because there are still apps that are dependent on parameters or
logical names being set or not being set as required; AUTOGEN-fragile
and logical-name-fragile apps.

I've chased more than a few of these messes around.
Please specify that IOSB everywhere (and check it!) and please also
specify quota lists and mailbox quotas and the rest of that ilk.
I'd prefer those and other such not-really-optional arguments to be
promoted to required arguments, but that's not happening anytime soon...
Fixing that has cleaned up a number of weird behaviors in the apps I've
maintained or have been called in to extend or to troubleshoot.
