I thought the Hashgraph idea had merit

Hashgraph isn't blockchain, it's different

It had potential for expanding the number of VMS nodes in a cluster while supporting a high transaction rate, 100k+/second is the claimed throughout rate. You could have up to 10k? nodes in the cluster but I think the transaction resolution rate drops to around 3 seconds but for say 500 nodes, I would guess (and I don't have the data) the resolution rates would drop to a fraction of a second

It's not blockchain, it's a different technology beast at heart

But I guess the realm that VMS is playing in for clusters there no need or desire to scale any higher than what it currently does
