The official name for the "expurgated listings" were the "censored listings" ... and yes, as Steve says, there was a lot of "interesting stuff" was not included on them. When we made them as CD discs there were ~4-5 (fuzzy recollection, possibly fewer, definitely not more than 5). For whatever reason we stuck with CD discs for the Alpha listings kit after DVD discs became available (and which we used for the IA64 listings kits)...no comment.

In addition to the "censored listings" we made "uncensored listings" for the digital/compaq/hp support centers (at Colorado Springs, Valbonne and maybe a third one that I'm not remembering), but I think that they were still only listings.

n.b. Each facility on a result disk is a directory tree with a different sub-directory for sources, maps & listings, build procedures specific to that facility, object files/libraries & images produced by that facility build, etc. ... much of which did *not* get included in either the censored or uncensored discs). 

The uncensored set was 10-12 discs. Listings that contained licensed source code was also "censored".
