Reversing binaries is a whole lot easier on x86-64, given the 
availability of tools.
Ghidra is one such example tool now available, and there are others.
But reversing has been possible for a very long time.
First reversing I've done was with Apple II, and then a fair amount 
with VAX and later.
Fuzzing tools are also more widely available on x86, too.
