[Info-vax] How does VSI license pricing on Itanium work? By socket, by core, by relative performance. I can't get a straight answer from VSI.

VSI was using per-socket licensing for most (all?) software products 
including the OE packaging, and with tiered pricing.

HPE had largely moved away from selling per-core licensing more than 
dozen years ago, moving to per-socket for most.

Price lists and list prices and related have been discussed with VSI. 
The price list here having a long history of "hoistage-taking."
