Ah, right. A simple transfer from one account to another? That I can do
directly from my online bank. And there is no fee in that. If it is within
the same bank it is instantly, to another bank it can be over-night.

A “giro payment” is a little different. It is a common numbering system
(usually a 9999-9999 format) that is coupled in the background to an
bank account. Usually utility bills or other invoices. No fees if done
in the online bank, fees apply if done IRL at an bank office.

But a straight account-to-account transfer is much simpler. Just give me
your bank name and your account number and I’ll make the transfer.
