Some SSDs used in HPE products will fail at 40,000 hours of operation.

I can understand why some SSDs might fail due to a signed 16-bit overflow
(which was the problem with the previous batch of SSDs which failed at
32768 hours).
I do not see what is so special about the number 40,000 however so I don't
understand why they will fail at exactly this number of hours.
Does anyone know what is so special about 40,000 hours in this regard ?
