Hi, Dave,
First, let me make it clear that I am not an official spokesperson for LCM+L,
Vulcan Inc., or the Allen family, as I am no longer working for any of the
above.
The museum was closed due to the pandemic in early March, a week before the
governor of Washington ordered a shutdown. We expected to return sometime in
the summer.
At the end of May, we were informed that the museum would remain closed for the
next 12-18 months, and that we would all be laid off as of 1 July. We spent
the next month cleanly shutting down all the systems and documenting how to
bring them back up for our successors, whoever they may be.
That's as much as I know. As I said, I'm no longer in the loop.
Thanks for asking.
