Our company sold digital mapping solutions based on clusters of VMS desktop
workstations booted from central servers. I believe one was over 100 nodes
in the cluster (exceeding 96 node supported limit). Several other customers
had dozens of workstations. Several ran such clusters for many years. Our
own cluster had three main servers and about 30 workstations.
