No. I didn't see a question requiring a response. The Bash comment was pointing out how a terminal shell thought to be "secure" with so many chanting the mantra "no known security vulnerabilities" had one that was exploited for over two decades.
Korn Shell has had numerous long term security issues as well. Here's one first recorded in 1998.

There was a misunderstanding with respect to the _point_ of the comment.
I haven't been coming here often.
Not that it will change your life in any way, but this is the year of COVID-19 lockdowns at nursing homes followed by navigating Hospice care under COVID-19 followed by loss of my father (during harvest season no less) and currently dealing with all of the probate sh*t, headstone selection, etc.
I know this group likes going down distant rabbit holes but honestly I never found them enjoyable and certainly don't have the left over bandwidth for them right now.
Honestly, I don't read every message in most threads because I don't want to snap a knee in an unseen rabbit hole.
