Tim, the AlphaServer 800 is running, but I'm WAY too lazy to go boot up
a bunch of other systems.
AS800> @calcvups
Approximate System VUPs Rating : 140.8
For a bit of humor, I'll try the VAXstation 4000 Model 90A:
$ di cal*
Directory SYS$SYSDEVICE:[DFE]
CALCULATE_VUPS.COM;1 6/6 [DFE] (RWED,RWED,RE,)
CALCVUPS.COM;1 4/4 [DFE] (RWED,RWED,RE,)
Total of 2 files, 10/10 blocks.
Hmmm ... two command procedures. I'll run them both.
$ @calculate_vups
Approximate System VUPs Rating : 106.0 ( min: 106.0 max: 106.0 )
$ @calcvups
Approximate System VUPs Rating : 26.0
I have no idea what each command procedure does, too lazy to think about
it. I'm not too sure that a VAXstation 4000 Model 90A would be over 100
times as fast as the VAX 11/780.
Ok, that did get my curiosity going a bit, so I copied the
CALCULATE_VUPS.COM to the AlphaServer 800 and got:
AS800> @calculate_vups
Approximate System VUPs Rating : 559.0 ( min: 559.0 max: 559.0 )
One, or both, of the command procedures appears to be a bit flakey.
