Just for the record, in case anyone need advice on Zabbix 
for OpenVMS I've been using it for like 7 years with good customization, not only agent items.
If anyone need to talk about that, I may be able to help somehow.

Regarding the Apache issue, I'm happy  to report that HP(VSI really) support is great,
as always, very knowledgeable and helpful overall. 
We didn’t get to solve the actual problem today, but we're most probably headed in the right path.
