V9.2 may currently imply x86, but things can and do change.

Whatever platform 9.2 is released on (x86, Alpha, Itanium, RPi, 
whatever), 8.4 would require patches to cluster with a 9.2 system.  It 
is the cluster protocol that is the issue, not an x86 chip.
