Wow! That's a bunch of old "junk" you got laying around. You got a
large warehouse?
I too have the same problem. Been cleaning stuff for 2 days now, and
barely started. Good thing I don't have as much as you do. Disks are
dying. Don't need an air cleaner, the systems running are great dust
collectors.
Trivia question, how much does an AlphaServer 800 weigh? Wasn't sure my
back was going to survive yesterday. Won't even try to lift the DS20.
DEC sure did believe in heavy gauge metal for the cases ....
And while on the subject of old "junk". My DS10L has 2 RJ45 network
ports. Only the "A" post is connected. DECnet keeps going up and down.
I seem to remember, maybe, using the "B" port and not having problems.
But it's been 10 years since it was last running. Anybody got any
ideas why this is happening?
