That's a good question.
Just about everything is slower than the offline disk duplicator. It usually
copies a disk in a good bit less time than doing a dd on the computer, but
to be honest I have no idea why. I don't know how fast the shadow set
rebuilds, either. I would be surprised if it rebuilt as fast as a direct
volume copy but I never timed it or watched the operations.
