Correct! I equipped a GPS receiver with an HC-06 bluetooth. The tablet gets
paired with that HC-06. I can then use an app which employs the Google Earth
satellite imagery to show the GPS location. When Google Earth is no available
due to limited WiFi, I can still get a directional compass on the tablet app.
This GPS is for my high power rocketry endeavors.

Sadly, Google make the owner of an Android tablet signup for a Gmail account.
I have no real use/need for anything else onthe tablet.
