Yes, it's getting very fuzzy.

My current NAS is running XigmaNAS.  I have both file shares and iSCSI 
served targets.  So it has both NAS and SAN features.

It's possible that if I installed a Fibre card I could serve Fibre 
channel devices, but I'm not sure.  I put in a 10GBe card and am serving 
iSCSI.  It works very well.

Plus, the NAS can directly run services, if I so desired.
