It's not that simple Zane and Phillip.

The cluster communications protocol is changing to now support secure
communications.

Does 9.1 contain the old cluster protocol or the new secure protocol ?

If 9.1 contains the old cluster protocol then it's possible it will
work with 7.3 but will stop working in 9.2 (or whenever the new protocol
is shipped) because there will not be compatibility kits for VAX 7.3.

What I do not know is, when the new cluster protocol is shipped, if
the old insecure protocol will continue to available and hence if the
old protocol will continue to work with 7.3 clustered with a 9.2 or
later node.

Simon.
