Ok, to address this question.  First, I'll say I was a bit surprised. 
There are fans stacked in front of other fans.  As if one isn't enough.

So I pushed the button to activate things, I could have sworn I was at 
the airport listening to an F-15 starting it's engines.  Possibly 
including the afterburners.

Yes, it is loud, very loud.
