Those were great printers.
I just retired a top-end LaserJet 4350dtnl, as increasing numbers of 
the the plastic parts were reverting to their primordial goo state, and 
efforts to replace those parts was ongoing and problematic.
If you don't mind sourcing and trying roller kits and bodging pickups 
and other parts, and generally rebuilding the printer, or have somebody 
that'll affordably perform ongoing maintenance for you, HP LaserJet 
42xx or LaserJet 43xx might be an option.
But I spent as much in or more of my own time and effort and 
printer-offline and hassles as the replacement printer eventually cost 
me.
