Dear OpenVMS community,

VMS Software Inc. is looking for an experienced OpenVMS instructor to teach OpenVMS and develop training material for VMS Software. This is a part-time job that involves a mix of teaching, collaboration, and standalone work.

As a instructor, you will:

Review and modernize existing training material
Research relevant current and emerging technologies and factor these into training where appropriate
Develop new OpenVMS training material (guides, exercises, quiz questions, training videos, etc.)
Work with customers to understand their training requirements
Meet with the engineering teams on new features to reflect them in training
Deliver OpenVMS training to VMS Software's customers and employees
Work with the training team to improve the training platform
Assist the training team with managing the training equipment

We need a person with:

At least 10 years of OpenVMS experience (software development and/or system management)
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Advanced knowledge of either software development for OpenVMS or OpenVMS system management
A good understanding of modern software technologies
Great teaching skills
Excellent or native knowledge of English

Fluency in other languages is an advantage
