Ok, so not some old software ....

I've tussled with RWAST in the past, but, as the years passed, not so
much anymore. More memory seems to be a great help, but I'm guessing.

Maybe old issues have been fixed, or just gone away for the most part.
But regardless of any remediation, it is my opinion that TCP/IP is a
sorry piece of software. VSI even looked at a total replacement. Not
sure why they backtracked on that.

Steve mentioned some of the possibilities, but that doesn't help you if
you don't know which is the culprit.

I have to ask, is the WSDEFAULT resonable? This is where more isn't
always better. Had a customer greatly increase this quota once, then
wondered why the system was dying.

Keep in mind, VMS will attempt to get you that WSDEFAULT, whether you
need it or not. If you do not, then you're spinning wheels to no
effect, or in the worst case, negative effect.

Not saying that is the problem. I've always attempted to analyze
actual usage, then set some reasonable WSDEFAULT, with VMS adding memory
to the working set if needed, more so than over allocating.
