Only if you make the time for it.

Learning some of the newer tools and frameworks and programming models 
(e.g. FRP) can be a yet larger investment of time and thought.

Some of the UI work and tooling happening else-platform for instance, 
leaves tools such as BX PRO and DEC's now long-gone VUIT, and Motif 
APIs and UIL/UID, in the dust.

If it helps, consider time spent learning new as a contribution to your 
own future employment and future employability.
