Let's take an extreme example, since some people don't seem to get 
balanced arguments.

Suppose some people are going around randomly killing people, and the 
authorities say that if it doesn't stop, then the entire population will 
have all utilities and food supplies cut off.  Would I try to discourage 
people from randomly killing others (even if THEY think that it is OK)?  
Yes.  Would saving my own neck be an additional motivation?  Yes.

According to your logic, those who abhor group justice should support 
those affected by it, whether or not what they do is good or bad.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
