Ditto. Totally irresponsible, unscientific populist decision making.
The media did not help as they prefer a panic story over rational information it seems.

The Netherlands had 400,000 doses available last week and only 250,000 takers. Stupid!
The AZ mis-information/scare surely played a role there.

The other bad decisions are 'must do 2nd dose first'.
Look at the great results the UK had by prioritizing more first doses to more people.
Admittedly it was possibly a bit of a gamble as test had only been published with the 3 or 4 weeks booster, but there was a reasonable justification both technical/medical and economic/social.

Finally, the EU wasted so much time with rules, regulations, and price negotiations it is almost crimilar.
Save a few Euros on dose versus the economical impact of weeks of delay? Again no science used.

Cheers,

The USA is making good progress.
As 65+ we had our 2nd Moderna doses 2 weeks ago in the the USA - NH.
Our 30 year old daughter signed up today for an April appointment.
18+ can sign up later this week.
