I already had a look a while back. :-)
Given the complexity of the architecture, it's a massive undertaking
and required quite a bit of access to documents, firmware and knowledge
that was not public (or at least I could not find the materials).
Start with the system firmware. That's locked up behind a HPE paywall
and is not freely available.
