Mixing SQLite and Rdb in the same database file makes perfect sense, of
course. 😉 And mixing SQLite and Rdb access into the same files in
parallel involves more work in both than would "merely" blocking
incompatible access.

I've long thought wholesale replacement of CTRL with a more modern port
was in order, moving the current DECCRTL to the margins has happened
with VAXCRTL an aeon or two ago. But I suspect the VSI compiler team
is booked solid for the next decade or so.

RMS also badly needs cleanup, as well as the "fun" that will be 64-bit
storage addressing support; of adding QBN 🤔 support. If not replaced,
as has been discussed on several occasions with GFS and VAFS.

Getting tooling such as zip and unzip, SQLite, and maybe PostgreSQL
into the distro would be nice, of course.
