some of the things your military has done, and I strongly believe they
should be held to account for that, but at the same time, I also give
serious respect to those willing to lay down their lives in defence of
their country.]

Looking at your country from afar here in the UK, your current CiC
seems to have absolutely no respect for your military and seems to
go out of his way to snub them.

The way he looked at his watch multiple times during the ceremony
for those marines was awful. If he wanted to deliberately offend your
military and say just how little he thought of them, he couldn't have
done a better job of doing it.

I get the feeling that, if China invaded Taiwan right now, he would
just stand to one side and do nothing about it.

In case you are not aware, he has also badly damaged relations with
your closest allies as a result of the way he carried out his recent
actions. He is destabilising relationships that have survived for
decades across multiple US administrations.
