Yes, the P400 and P800 SAS controllers can RAID any or all the drives together, and then you can partition the RAIDset into multiple logical drives.

I do that on my Integrity 2660 and P800, With an ADG (RAID6) across 7 SAS drives, then cut it up into multiple logical drives (DKx0, DKx1, DKx2).

The built-in RAID firmware can create the first logical drive, but you need to use MSA$UTIL to create the rest of the logical drives. Or you can just boot OpenVMS from a flash drive, then use MSA$UTIL to erase and re-RAID and/or cut the RAIDset up into multiple logical drives.
