I can't believe I'm going to say anything good about the itanic, or
Intel, but, here goes ...

The RX2660 has an ethernet connection to the ILO, and with that I can
Telnet, or SSH, to the ILO. I can turn power on and off, from my
desktop (WEENDOZE XP with Smarterm terminal emulator). I can attach to
the "console", boot VMS, run a terminal session, and such.

So yeah, I don't need that loud wind tunnel near me, to still be a
"desktop system".

Still, there can be problems. DECnet is not working. I'm thinking the
system has 2 RJ45 ethernet ports, and perhaps I haven't plugged the
cable into the port DECnet wants to use. I'm too lazy to go all the way
down there to switch the cable, maybe tomorrow.

:-)
