And for most who do have Itanium systems, the whole point of OpenVMS
x86-64 is to get rid of the aging Itanium hardware with failing parts
and insecure management consoles, and other things that get routinely
flagged by security audits and/or just cause additional hassle because
they have special needs that don't apply to anything else in the data
center.  Even investigating a port without a native BASIC compiler is
just a non-starter at my day job.
