Joining or leaving the EU does not require a constitutional change.

Denmark did not change constitution when joining (the danish
constitution does require that any delegation of power to an
external entity be approved either by 5/6 majority in parliament or
by both simple majority in parliament and simple majority
in referendum).

UK joining or leaving EU does not require a constitution change.
Because the UK does not have a constitution (they have a bunch
of different laws that combined act as a constitution - Magna Charta
1215, Bill of Rights 1689, Acts of Union 1707, Representation of
the People Act 1928 etc.).

If there was a legal problem then I would assume it had come up.
