One can attempt to do the job manually, by examining and changing code.
This is amazingly slow and not very effective. 

ASX are hiring for a Senior Analyst Programmer to work on CHESS, with a
good knowledge of OpenVMS:

They'd also like VB6 experience, so they seem to have plenty of legacy
