Sector7 worked with VSI a couple years ago to expand the Postgres client on VMS. We have a tool that converts Rdb SQLMODs to Oracle procedures and we added the capability to support Postgres also. We migrated IKEA's SQLMODs for Rdb to access Postgres, with the application running on OpenVMS and the Postgres server running on a Linux server. They deployed this to their 400+ stores around the world and it has been running for a few years. They also got a nice performance boost.
This was to the open-source Postgres, not the EDB version.
